This is good news, because going too long without a proper mobile MMO makes me cranky. So without further adieu, I give you (in Google Play rating order) 5 mobile MMORPGS that you definitely need to pick up and play.
5. Izanagi
Sitting at a 4.1 rating on Google Play is the game Izanagi. It was created for Android and iOS systems by Asobimo Inc.
Izanagi has over 100 playable quests in which you can choose from a clss of Assassin, Mage, Cleric, or Warrior. The characters were designed by Takashi Okazaki (yes, the Afro Samurai guy), which explains a lot about their movement and hair choices.
The overall consensus seems to be that Izanagi has great graphics, plays similar to a console game, and stays true to what an MMORPG should be.
Complaints seem to include updates and system errors. But hey, no game is perfect, right?
4. Warspear
Coming in next is Warspear. It is slightly above Izanagi with its Google Play rating of 4.2, and certainly nothing to scoff at.
Warspear is an adventure/action game made for Android, iOS, Linux, Windows Phone, and OSX. In other words, it transverses many platforms – which is great, because it’s accessible to just about anyone who wants to play no matter what their go-to device is.
What’s more, is that Warspear is apparently similar to Runescape, which explains why it’s popular with mobile MMORPG players. You must choose a side and battle your armies in open PVP, then stand besides your comrades to clear dangerous dungeons and try to become the mightest Arena Warrior of them all.
If that doesn’t sound like fun, I don’t know what does.
3. Avabel
Avabel is one of those games that you look at and automatically know that it’s going to be worth your time. It comes in with a 4.2 Google Play rating. Why is it ranked higher than Warspear even though they have the same rating on the Play Store?
The answer is simple: graphics and gameplay. While Warspear is entertaining with its Runescape qualities, Avabel has more of a Second Life feel. And, as far as I’m concerned, that makes for better gameplay.

See, I was right! You were intrigued by the sheer beauty of how addictive and exciting the game looked in just that one glimpse.
Avabel screams: play me!. And as a fan of MMORPGs, you know that you’re going to listen.
2. Order and Chaos
This game almost made it to number one. But with a Google Play rating of 4.3, it had to be number two. Oh well – second place is nothing to sneeze at.
Order and Chaos seemed to be the number one contender on every “Top Mobile Game List” I could find. And for the ones where it wasn’t the number one contender, it was still in the top 5 rankings.
At first I wondered why, but then it became clear.
Order and Chaos is the mobile version of World of Warcraft (WoW). If you take into account how popular WoW is, then it makes complete sense that Order and Chaos would follow in its shoes.

Essentially, the fun of Chaos and Order is that everything has a purpose and the storylines are killer. What more could you ask for?
1. Arcane Legends
Finally, we’re at the number one contender – Arcane Legends. It’s currently sitting at a 4.4 rating on Google Play.

Arcane Legends is the most popular on this list because unlike the other MMORPGs collected here, its quests are linear and create a unique storyline. It also beats out Order and Chaos because it doesn’t have a subscription fee. Granted, the in-app purchases can run anywhere between $1.99 and $89.99, but there are a lot of item drops throughout as well.

Each of these games has its pros and cons. But if I were to choose one to play, it would definitely be Arcane Legends. After all, there’s got to be a reason that it keeps showing up on several “Top MMORPG” lists.
